Session on Ideation 12-10-2023 Mr. Mayur R Jangam, Design Thinking Trainer The session on ideation focused on fostering creative thinking and generating innovative solutions to complex challenges. Participants were guided through a structured process of brainstorming, refining ideas, and evaluating their feasibility. The session emphasized the importance of divergent thinking in the initial stages, encouraging open-ended exploration of possibilities, followed by convergent thinking to narrow down and prioritize actionable ideas. Interactive exercises and group discussions enabled participants to collaborate, share diverse perspectives, and develop a robust set of ideas ready for further development. By the end of the session, attendees had a clearer understanding of how to approach problem-solving creatively and effectively with six thinking hats. 60

Identifying the stakeholders affected by the problem helps ensure that their perspectives and needs are considered when developing a solution. Defining the scope of the problem establishes clear boundaries on what is included and what is not, allowing for a focused approach to problem-solving. Setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) objectives guides the efforts towards resolving the issue. Internal Faculties Mr Shubham Londhe discussed the basics of DevOps and use of DevOps with the help of some tools. Expert also explained about coding and scripting for working in DevOps. He discussed about Agile Methodology in software development life cycle. In the session,Prof Bhushan Zope discussed about the creating, building, and maintaining of websites along with the hands-on experiences. This VAC was envisioned by Dr. Deepali Vora, Head of the Department for nurturing student's knowledge to meet recent industry trends and was successfully organized by Aditi Sharma and Dr. Nilima Zade. On 3rd January 25, 2024, for 2nd year students, Dr. Deepak Parashar started his session on Machine learning relating to the live projects continuing the session with Prof. Usha Joglekar for Python and Dr. Sudhanshu Gonge on Data Visualization with Power BI. In the afternoon session Dr.Vani Hiremani covered topics of Advancing web technologies PHP and Dr. Ankit Vishnoi gave the talk on writing research papers to students. The objective of the workshop is to provide additional learner-centric technical skill training in cutting-edge technology to expand students' technical competency. An Expert Session on Design Aspects of IoT using Arduino and NodeMCU conducted by Dr. Aditya Gupte on 4th and 5th January 2024. The objective of the session was to aware students of recent trends and technologies and to provide insight into how everything right from the basic IoT to blockchain technology, and data mining are integrated and interrelated. It was an interactive session where students inquisitively asked questions after the session. Students have designed projects and submitted the design. According to the latest skills index - Web3 (Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, Metaverses) and AI expertise are the fastest-growing skill sets in 2023. To compete in the ever-growing market, our students must be next-gen tech-ready to get an extra edge. Value-added courses for 2nd-year students on Introduction to Web3and Blockchain Technology have been conducted by experts from Zbyte on 4th and 5th January 25, 2024 respectively. Students have been taught about Web 3 basics, the building blocks of blockchain, blockchain app architecture, and Bitcoin and Ethereum Basics. During the hands-on Session – “Build your first dApp” students developed their first dApp by understanding dApp development Studio constructs, Mapping of dApp studio constructs, Blockchain App Architecture, explaining smart contract factory, explaining smart contract integration, Widgets and their usage, explaining data connectors – databases, develop apps usingdatabases available in dApp Studio. Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune organized an International Conference on “AI for Sustainability (AI4S)” in association with Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) Mexico, ShodhGuru, Innovation and Research Labs, AI & I Labs UAT-Mexico, ORKG (Open Resource Knowledge Graph) and CCIS Springer.

AI4S (AI for Sustainability) is an International Conference that initiated its first edition in alignment with the G20 theme of India. Due to advent of Artificial Intelligence into crucial technological advancements in Big Data, Hardware, Semantic Web, Machine Learning, Smart cities technologies, weather forecast to improve the planet earth doesn’t seem as hard as it used to be. AI holds great promise for building inclusive knowledge societies and helping countries reach their targets under the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the Society, Economy, and Environment groups. This conference served as an excellent forum for discussing and exploring ideas concerning sustainable development through the utilization of AI's capabilities.

This conference was sponsored by Department of Scientific and Industrial research DSIR, New Delhi. Also, it was in collaboration of Universiti of Kebangsaan Malaysia. The main objectives of this conference were to create an access to knowledge and research collaboration under one umbrella. It was objected to promote innovations by students and entrepreneurs by conducting Hackathons, and Panel discussion and to support and promote the policy of “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.

Let's Learn Phython 30-10-2020 to 1-11-2020 Ms. Alifa Shaikh and Ms. Mariya Khan A 3-day python workshop organized for civil engineering students to learn and explore python software & its application in the civil industry. During the workshop guest speakers, namely Afifa Shaikh and Mariya Khan gave a new perspective to the objective of learning python. It helped them in problem-solving tasks in the coding world. IPR Awarness Seminar 21/01/2020 Dr. Amit Tiwari, Professor & Head - Intellectual Property at Symbiosis International (Deemed University) A session on IPR awareness was organized for staff of the Applied Science department of SIT on 21/01/2019. Dr. Amit Tiwari, Head-Intellectual property from Symbiosis Center for Research and Innovation was invited as an expert. The session started with a short movie clip on historical developments in the field of IPR importance of IPR for India. The speaker, gave a brief review of IP office. He also talked about some inventions and myths about inventions. The difference between Invention, Innovation and Discovery was discussed. A brief background of IP and its significance was discussed along with the common mistakes made before filling a patent. Different types of patents such as Design, Process, Geographical Indicator (G.I.), Copyright, Novelty, Prior Art were discussed. This was followed by the general procedure for patent application in India and types of patent applications. The speaker also discussed non patentable inventions. AI Hackathon was organized to nurture young minds for making them aware of scope of AI in industrial applications. This was first of its kind event organized by industry and academia where innovation in AI and NLP (Voice sentiment analysis) was explored by the participants. In the initial round, we had invited students and start-ups to participate in this innovative platform and challenge their minds in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies to solve two very relevant state-of-art problem in industry 18
