SIT EEE: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SIT EEE) is a competitive entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International Deemed University for admissions in Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT), one of the best engineering colleges in Maharashtra. It currently offers B.Tech programmes in Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering. The exam, originally called SET, has been renamed as SIT EEE recently.

Aspiring candidates should pass 10+2 exams with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in order to apply for SIT EEE. The eligibility criteria for International students is followed as per Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE) norms.
Only online application forms are accepted for SIT EEE 2018. However, payment for registration can be done through offline modes also. Those who wish to pay through Demand Draft or Bank Challan must note the following:
- Bank Challan for cash payment should be of Axis Bank or Indian Bank
- The Demand Draft drawn in favour of Symbiosis Test Secretariat, payable at Pune, should reach their address before the last date of application.
After online registration and payment is done, Admit card of SIT EEE will be issued to all the registered students at least a week before the exam. The candidates can download their respective admit cards from the official website.
SIT EEE 2018 module is a 150-minute test and consists of three sections of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics each. Physics and Chemistry section contains 25 questions each and Mathematics section contains 50 questions. There is no negative marking for selecting a wrong answer and all sections are mandatory. Prepare for SIT EEE strategically, so that you can allot time to each section and try to complete it within the stipulated time frame. Focus not just on your strong areas but also on your areas of improvement. Learn to manage time effectively as you get only 150 minutes to solve 100 questions. The difficulty level of SIT EEE exam is medium.
The exam will be conducted in an online mode in 85 different cities across India and students can choose their preferred test centres from any of the available options. This year the exam will be held on May 5, 2018 and the result will be announced on the official website May 14, 2018. SIT will release its own cut off for each specialization afterwards.
